  • So Why Am I Sad?

My baby girl and her sweetie have broken up, sure she's only 19 and he's 22 but I really like this young and they have allowed some miscommunication to get them upset with each other and then they started playing the game of  "I won't call or text you until you call or text me" and no one is talking.  Her dad gave her some really sound advise for life/relationships in general and I chatted with her ex sweetie and did the same. But I can't help but want to see them back together.  But I have made a promise to myself that I will not get involved to the point of trying to get them back together.  He seems to really be taking it hard, she is too but she is a bit more stubborn (I should know, i'm her mom).

    A Sigh sigh...young love.

  • Scrabulous

I am so addicted to playing online scrabble.

I HAVE to play at least one game a day...ha ha ha....who am I kidding!

It's like Lays potato chips you can't have just one...

I play at least 2 or three games a day.

I have always loved the game of scrabble and when I found this site a year ago I haven't been able to quit it.

You get the chance to play people from all over the world.

I have a few pet peeves with the site and the people.

The site has so many people that they had in times past experienced some really bad lag times.  It has since gotten a lot better.

I hate it when people won't play you because your score isn't as high as theirs.  I have a 1299 right now.  I have found some who have played me that have a higher score and when they do they find out I am pretty good and I end up creaming them

I hate it when someone with a higher score than mine quits when I am creaming their butts.

I also hate those that quit when they aren't winning and those who won't chat while playing.

  • Don't even know what to call it

Life's good really good.  Things with the hubby are going great and we are almost finished fixing up our new home the way we want it.  The back yard is the only project that we have put off until next year because it's a really big back yard and it is going to cost us a couple of thousand to do the decorative rock, pavers, plants, pond and cactus the way I want them.  I bought a new pair of grey slacks and the top to match on Friday and I am feeling a bit down on myself...I have gained a whopping 17 pounds since retiring and although I still look great the weight ticks me off.  Hunny and I have decided to check out a doctor assisted program...they monitor your weight, help you build a game plan and modify your lifestyle...there are several people from my work who have used them for at least a year and they are seeing results...I decided I wouldn't try them out until I had seen the results of those who I knew had been using them for at least 6 months...so we will see.

Baby girl evacuated the gulfcoast because of the hurricane and they headed to Northen Mississippi...I am glad she's safe and sound.

  • My how time has flown.

    Let's see

I finally retired from the Air Force after 20 years...it was a struggle but thank God I made it.

I had a few medical challenges that forced their hand causing them to retire me medically.

The Medical blessing has been a blessng,

    • A large portion of my retired check it tax free
    • My medical care is VA covered
    • I'm in the Vocational Rehab program so Uncle Sam is sending me back to college for free and it feels good to not pay tuition, books or lab fees...also to get a tax free check for going to school..to get school supplies and a laptop with printer combo to get it all done.

Well gotta go for now I am so sleepy.
